A Sande Ace Returns to Hood Canal

This Sande Ace was made on the shores of Hood Canal and found its way to the Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle. It is the less common single-cockpit model but it also has freeboard much higher than usual. We have to think that this configuration was aimed at the fisherman.

At buoy on lower Hood Canal. This is not really a pretty sunset. This was
taken by a neighbor during the horrible smoke caused by the West Coast fires in 2020.
