Sande Ace Movies
This page is devoted to movies - some old, some new. The Sande Ace is featured but we will include other classic Northwest plywood runabouts such as Steve Tweit's Tacoma-built Mansfield.
(Lower resolution, faster loading options are provided for many. Some have been captured from analog tapes and are fuzzy. In any case, they are well worth the wait even with long downloading times!)
Rendezvous 2008
These movies were taken from the Regan's Ace in 2008. Great shots Susanne! We gathered at Twanoh State Park, crusied to Alderbrook Resort and returned to the Waali place via the North Shore. The water looks like liquid mercury, appropriate considering the old Mercs in use!

Bob Parks' Classic Movies
Here is the Parks' 1957 Sande Ace at Nelson's Cove on Bald Point of Hood Canal. Bob converted his grandmother's movies to digital format. They are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. (Note: These have no audio.)

Sande Ace Race 2005
The first gathering of Sande Aces in recent times occurred in the summer of 2005 on Hood Canal. Ned and Ed raced their boats, each equipped with a 45 HP Cloud White Merc. Ned (closer to the camera) clearly won the first Ace Race in 30 years or more.

The Waali Ace from Idle to Speed
Here's is a 2008 movie of the Waali's 1959 Sande Ace near Sisters' Point on Hood Canal. Hats off to the intrepid videographer who sat backwards and was startled a couple times!
