The aptly named Scooter, powered by a Mercury Mark 35A, speeds to the Olympia Wooden Boat Show.
This is our favorite Ace picture of all.

     Through the years rumors surfaced about someone building an Ace.  Tom and Susanne Regan have actually done it, building one at their Grapeview Point Boat Works!   They stretched the original 1956 plans for a 12 footer to 13 feet 2 inches - the length of the Sande version - and built it for Coast Guard approval.
